IU reveals story behind the song “Voice Mail”
IU recently confessed the story behind her song “Voice Mail”.
On November 11, IU appeared on MBC Music’s ‘Picnic’ and talked about various topics. Upon hearing one of the participants’ story, she shared her one-sided love story during her high school days.
IU revealed, “This is very first time that I talk about this. My song ‘Voice Mail’ is based on my real story. It’s a song I made about one-sided love and being rejected, so it’s really sad to sing the song.”
At the end of broadcast, IU said, "It’s a broadcast where I was able to talk about my feelings. I feel like I got ‘healed’ through the show.”
